Welcome to the 2026–2027 school year! I hope you and your family had a restful, enjoyable summer.

It is with great excitement and gratitude that I welcome you to a new school year as the new Principal of La Sierra High School. I am truly honored to join such an amazing school community and look forward to partnering with our students, families, and staff as we build on the incredible traditions of excellence that make La Sierra so special.

One of the things that makes La Sierra unique is what we call the "magic behind the gates." Every day, our students and staff create an environment filled with learning, growth, opportunity, and school pride. From inspiring classroom experiences and amazing programs and Career Technical Education pathways to meaningful relationships and unforgettable moments, there is something truly special happening on our campus each day. I am excited to experience that magic alongside our Eagle family and to share those moments with our community throughout the year.

Whether you are returning to La Sierra or joining us for the first time as a freshman or transfer student, know that you BELONG here. We are committed to creating a safe, welcoming, engaging, and inclusive environment where every student is encouraged to reach their full potential.

These four pillars shape our school culture and guide our academic, behavioral, and social expectations. This year, one important way we are supporting student success is through the continued implementation of our NO cell phone use during classroom instruction policy. By minimizing distractions, we are creating classrooms where students can fully engage in learning, collaborate with their peers, and build meaningful relationships with their teachers.

La Sierra continues to provide outstanding opportunities for our students, and we are proud of our many accomplishments as we continue to lead the district in student enrollment in Advanced Placement (AP) and Dual Enrollment courses and our commitment to A-G readiness ensures that every student is preparing for success in college, career, and beyond.  And there is more to come.

Our students, staff, families, and community are eagerly anticipating the completion and grand opening of our new stadium this fall. This incredible addition will provide a beautiful space to celebrate our students, athletics, performing arts, and community events. And the excitement doesn't stop there—Phase 2 of the project will begin soon, bringing even more enhancements to our campus and making the magic behind the gates even more extraordinary. 

Our partnership with families is one of the greatest strengths of our school. We encourage parents and guardians to stay actively involved by REGULARLY checking the Aeries Parent Portal for grades, attendance, and important updates and communicating with teachers, counselors, or administrators whenever questions or concerns arise.

Thank you for entrusting us with your students’ education. I am honored to serve as your principal and look forward to celebrating the many successes and memorable moments that await us this year. Together, we will continue to discover, create, and celebrate the magic behind the gates while ensuring that every Eagle has the opportunity to learn, lead, and RISE. Every Eagle. Every Day. ¡Bienvenidos al ciclo escolar 2026–2027! Espero que usted y su familia hayan tenido un verano tranquilo y agradable.

Es con gran emoción y gratitud que les doy la bienvenida a un nuevo año escolar como la nueva directora de la Escuela Secundaria La Sierra. Me siento realmente honrada de unirme a una comunidad escolar tan increíble y espero colaborar con nuestros estudiantes, familias y personal mientras construimos sobre las increíbles tradiciones de excelencia que hacen tan especial a La Sierra.

Una de las cosas que hace única a La Sierra es lo que llamamos la "magia detrás de las puertas." Cada día, nuestros estudiantes y personal crean un ambiente lleno de aprendizaje, crecimiento, oportunidades y orgullo escolar. Desde experiencias inspiradoras en el salón, programas increíbles y caminos de Educación Técnica Profesional, hasta relaciones significativas y momentos inolvidables, hay algo realmente especial que sucede en nuestro campus cada día. Estoy emocionada de experimentar esa magia junto a nuestra familia de Águilas y de compartir esos momentos con nuestra comunidad a lo largo del año.

Ya sea que regreses a La Sierra o te unas a nosotros por primera vez como estudiante de primer año o de transferencia, ten la certeza de que aquí PERTENECES. Estamos comprometidos a crear un ambiente seguro, acogedor, atractivo e inclusivo donde se anime a cada estudiante a alcanzar su máximo potencial.

En La Sierra, todo lo que hacemos está guiado por nuestra misión: Todas las Águilas SE ELEVAN. Animamos a cada estudiante a ser:

Estos cuatro pilares moldean nuestra cultura escolar y guían nuestras expectativas académicas, conductuales y sociales. Este año, una forma importante en que apoyamos el éxito estudiantil es mediante la implementación continua de nuestra política de NO usar teléfonos celulares durante la instrucción en el salón. Al minimizar las distracciones, estamos creando salones donde los estudiantes pueden participar plenamente en el aprendizaje, colaborar con sus compañeros y construir relaciones significativas con sus maestros.

La Sierra continúa brindando oportunidades excepcionales a nuestros estudiantes, y estamos orgullosos de nuestros muchos logros mientras seguimos liderando el distrito en la inscripción estudiantil en cursos de Colocación Avanzada (AP) e Inscripción Dual, y nuestro compromiso con la preparación A-G asegura que cada estudiante se esté preparando para el éxito en la universidad, la carrera y más allá. Y aún queda más por venir.

Nuestros estudiantes, personal, familias y la comunidad esperan con ansias la finalización y gran inauguración de nuestro nuevo estadio este otoño. Esta increíble adición brindará un espacio hermoso para celebrar a nuestros estudiantes, el deporte, las artes escénicas y los eventos comunitarios. Y la emoción no termina ahí: la segunda fase del proyecto comenzará pronto, trayendo aún más mejoras a nuestro campus y haciendo que la magia detrás de las puertas sea aún más extraordinaria.

Nuestra colaboración con las familias es una de las mayores fortalezas de nuestra escuela. Animamos a padres y tutores a mantenerse activamente involucrados revisando REGULARMENTE el Portal de Padres de Aeries para calificaciones, asistencia y actualizaciones importantes, y comunicándonos con maestros, consejeros o administradores cada vez que surjan preguntas o inquietudes.

Gracias por confiarnos la educación de sus estudiantes. Me siento honrado de servir como su directora y espero celebrar los muchos éxitos y momentos memorables que nos esperan este año. Juntos, continuaremos descubriendo, creando y celebrando la magia detrás de las puertas, asegurando que cada Águila tenga la oportunidad de aprender, liderar y ELEVARSE. Cada Águila. Cada día.
